Kitengela for me!

Phew! the day is finally over. I have turned on the towering stereo in a manner that suggests i think i live in my own compound. Today i honour my Geography teacher who failed to tell me that Namanga is past Kitengela in a very special way. Today was quite a field day, leaving for Kitengela at around 9:00 am on a matatu, lucky i got back left though there were other passengers behind me. Our first serious stop was at Mlolongo where the car driver was harassed apparently by stage officials who claimed he was picking up passengers at the wrong place. We all had to alight the vehicle, what a waste of time!

Good thing we got another matau and did not pay for the other. Which reminds me i need to bank the savings from that trip. After a storm comes calm but not in Kitengela, on approaching the town the steward of the bus (Dondaa) spots two policemen and shouts "Haki ya Mungu makaro!, kila mtu a crouch". All standing passengers are forced to crouch I was the last standing passenger and the pressure i got from the others was too much. The stunt was brief and we soon stood up. On arrival at Kitengela town i was amazed at how it was, its a long time since i was in a growing town.

The town has everything you would need within your eyesight. Furthermore furniture there is better and cheaper so am not going to buy mine in Nairobi. We proceeded to Kasachu where we had gone to visit a greenhouse implementation project. The trip to Kasachu cost us only 50Ksh but the place surely was very far! ifor once i felt i had cheated the matatu. Kasachu is a nice place you can see a windmill two children s homes and plenty of livestock. It felt so out of town.

Lunch is the point i really want to emphasise. A half kg of roasted meat is only 200/Ksh everything else is cheapest. We had lunch for four people soda  and Fries and free Meat to entice us. Oh! and a one bedroom at the town centre goes for between 4000Ksh to 5000Ksh but there are business premises under your house. I do not mind as that is my water and elcetricity and Zuku bill in Nairobi. I think today i haven't complained about money because The environment in Kitengela was good.
Big ups Kitengela people!
